VETERNAK
is the official Student Association of the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine,
Universiti Putra Malaysia. Established on 11th July 1974, VETERNAK
has gone from its humble beginnings of a young student association to becoming
the forefront of UPM’s faculties, leading by example with a galore of
activities organised annually. VETERNAK is made of students who are currently
attached to the Doctor of Veterinary Medicine programme right here in the
faculty.
VETERNAK
being the official association, we are proud to have a host of sister clubs
under us; Zoologico, PROKASIH, International Veterinary Students Association
(IVSA) and Veterinary Islamic Putra Club (VIP). Besides that, we are the proud
organisers of a national event known as DOGATHONTM! DOGATHONTM
is an annual event aimed at raising awareness on good pet ownership, and it is
awesome to see man and animal relationship at its best! All these events could
not be possible without the strong support of the faculty management, coupled
with the zeal and determination of the students to take every opportunity and
turn into a marvellous success!
It
is amazing to see how both faculty staff and student alike would come together
under one common vision and mission to strive through every event together. It
is exactly what every student needs, the right balance between book smart and
street smart. VETERNAK has been and will always provide the platform for
students to not only grow and mature in their studies, but to also discover and
develop new skills to become better veterinarians.
VETERNAK
would not be what it is without the dedication of the faculty management and
also the commitment of the committee members. Thus, I would like to thank the
faculty management for their ever present support. I would like to also thank
my faithful committee members who have put in their heart and soul in making
VETERNAK the exemplary Student Association that we are in this time in history.
May you always find joy and happiness here in the faculty, and we at VETERNAK
welcome anyone and everyone that enters into this faculty!
